Qualifications Open Session in Social Pedagogy

By 2018, an estimated 2,400 people have had training in social pedagogy across the UK. A variety of qualifications are on offer to provide this training. Find out what qualifications are out there and if they're for you at our Open Session.

Social Pedagogy is an emerging field in the UK but well established in continental Europe, where theory and practice is concerned with finding solutions to social problems through an educational lens.

“The UK is catching up fast to the power of social pedagogy. It is a cogent approach that allows practitioners to powerfully understand how change occurs and to bring together ‘thinking’ with direct practice between human beings in a range of social situations. It has powerful personal and social impact and deserves to be better understood and utilised.”

Dave Hill – Executive Director Social Care and Education Essex County Council, past President of Association of Directors of Children's Services.

This free-to-attend session will offer an overview of social pedagogy, some of the qualifications available and the impact learners’ developed practice has on outcomes, team work and organisational culture.

This session will be hosted by Jacaranda Recruitment and ThemPra Social Pedagogy, for further information and for bookings please visit our Eventbrite page
