The AGM will commence at 5.30pm, for registration and drinks, prior to the meeting at 6.00pm. After the close of the AGM, there will be drinks and entertainment available for Members attending. The agenda is as follows: 

1. Welcome and opening remarks from SPPA Chair, Helen Jones OBE
2. Apologies
   2.1. To receive any apologies received from Members unable to attend this meeting.
3. Ordinary Business
   3.1. To receive from Helen Jones, Chair of SPPA, a report on the activities of Social Pedagogy Professional Association - 'Looking Back, Looking Forward'.
   3.2. To undertake the election for Member nominated Trustees to the Board of Trustees (papers circulated).
4. Motions
   4.1. To consider any motions proposed by Members and to duly vote on such motions.
5. Discussions on Future Direction of SPPA
   5.1. An open discussion on Member ideas and thoughts on the development of SPPA going forward.
6. Closing remarks from Helen Jones, SPPA Chair

As part of the AGM, we intend to appoint 4 Trustees, including for the roles of Treasurer, and Marketing, Communications & Public Relations. 

If you would like to nominate an individual (either yourself or another person) please read the job descriptions (linked above) for the specific roles and skills we are seeking to recruit and, should you wish to apply for one of these opportunities, complete the below form accordingly. However, please feel free to submit the nomination form for anyone who may have skills, knowledge or experience that would benefit SPPA, in addition to those contained in the specific job descriptions. We welcome all applications from Members.

Please note that Trustees (or future Trustees) must be Members of SPPA. Should you wish to nominate an individual, please check that they are (or are about to become) Members, and that they have consented to the nomination in order that the nomination is not invalidated.

If you're unable to attend our AGM but still want to have your say in our Trustee elections and when passing motions, you can complete a proxy voting form. You can download a copy to complete and return here.

Members must submit their proxy form by Friday 29^th September 2017, to the Company Secretary on aorchard.sppa@outlook.com. Proxy forms returned after this date will not be accepted.

Should any Member wish to submit a motion or discussion point for consideration by other Members at the AGM, these must be received by the Company Secretary by at least the 28th September, in writing. All motions must carry the signature (which can be electronic) of at least 2 Members.

'BippetyBoppety', is a name once used lovingly by someone who struggled to pronounce social pedagogy. After our AGM finishes, we have organised some evening entertainment for attendees.

Facilitated by Thure Johansen and Prof. Pat Petrie, you're invited to join us for 'The BibbetyBop Soundscape' where you will be creating, writing and performing an anthem for social pedagogy, in groups. 

This activity has been designed to take you out of your comfort zone. However, we hope the all-too-familiar melody of 'Seven Nation Army' by the White Stripes will help to get your creative juices going.
