The Social Pedagogy Professional Association (SPPA), together with the UCL Institute of Education, ThemPra and Jacaranda, has developed the Standards of Proficiency in Social Pedagogy, or SOPs (pdf). These are the standards with which all Social Pedagogy Practitioners and Social Pedagogues must act.
SPPA has also developed the Standards for Education and Training, or SETs (pdf) to ensure that social pedagogy qualifications, and other courses and learning programmes are facilitated to a high-standard. If your learning programme meets the SETs, you can apply for SPPA endorsement.
